Percussionist, Singer Songwriter, Performer, and Educator. Chelsey Danielle is a versatile musician that performs as a one woman percussion band, drummer/singer in different music projects, and music educator to all ages. She has been featured with many musicians as well as a solo artist at multiple music festivals such as National Women’s Music Festival, Oaktopia, Denton 35, Deep Ellum Art Festival, Amazon Music Festival, and Sister Singers Festival. The release of her debut album “Red Mixtape” displays her unique style and versatility as a instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter.
Chelsey Danielle found her passion for percussion in the middle school band at age 11. In middle school she won multiple awards for being an outstanding percussionist as well as making honor bands and orchestras. By the time she was in high school she was in an award winning drumline, the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra, Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, and Texas All State Band. When she graduated high school she immediately studied Music Education at Texas Christian University. There she was a member of the TCU Drumline, Steel Band, Wind Symphony, and Percussion Ensemble. After a year at TCU she transferred to Richland College to continue her studies in percussion. Chelsey was featured as a percussion soloist in multiple contests and fund raising benefits for the school. After two years of attending the percussion program at Richland College, she finished her studies at the University of North Texas. During her time at UNT she was involved with the UNT Drumline, 2 o’clock Steel Band, Percussion Players, Symphonic Band, and Gamelan Ensemble. In December of 2013 she graduated UNT with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and returned to conduct her arrangement of Frank Zappa’s “Peaches En Regalia” with the UNT Percussion Players in 2014.
Chelsey Danielle lives a musically enriched life. She enjoys sharing music as a performer and educator. Her debut album “Red Mixtape” is continuously gaining positive attention as well as her web series on YouTube “LivingRoomDreams” that feature her and local artists.
