The best time to send this information is in the fall prior to the next festival. All applications will be considered, but not all applications will be accepted to perform at the upcoming festival as we have limited time and space.
When booking performers we hope to create a balance of music based on genre, age, ethnicity, and race.
Women In the Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to produce and sponsor programs that promote and affirm the creative talents and technical skills of women in the visual, performing, and fine arts. The primary vehicle to meet this purpose is the production of the National Women’s Music Festival. In producing this and other arts programs, WIA strives to facilitate the growth, knowledge, and empowerment of women in the other varied aspects of their lives.
In All Programs, WIA:
- strives to reflect the diversity and multicultural reality of the women’s community in regard to race, ethnicity religion, age, physical ability, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
- actively reaches out to reflect this diversity in its workers, participants, performers, and presenters.
We stand together with the Black Community in solidarity and support against racial violence, hatred, and injustice. We believe that the arts can and should play a role as our nation works to address this injustice. #BlackLivesMatter #SayHerName
