Dance Party Friday Night on the SheRocks Stage
Big Bad Gina is Renée Janski, Melodie Griffis, and Jori Costello, who for 7 years, toured nationally at women’s festivals, pagan and alternative spirituality circuits, Pride events, Women’s Week in Provincetown, and several communities across the country. All 3 women are multi-instrumentalists, singer/songwriters, and teachers. Reuniting for National to folkin’ rock, jazz it up, and dance the night away.
Renée Janski earned a degree in Opera from UCA before exploring blues, jazz, and rockin’ out on the piano. Recently, Renée released a solo CD project and collaborates with beloveds in online concerts, various tours and is the current Music Director for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fayetteville (UUFF).
Melodie Griffis holds degrees in psychology, sociology, and music with an emphasis on jazz guitar. She is currently a faculty member with the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Arkansas.
Jori Costello, guitarist and percussionist, playwright and dance DJ, is currently hosting a women’s radio show, Go Sistah Go as Sistah JoJo and is an acting Song Leader for the UUFF.
Holding it all together is RJ – road manager, tour driver, equipment technician, mood stabilizer, and the first one to get up and dance.
BBG is pleased to be performing at National with special rockin’ guest performers: Stefanie Lazcano, in true BBG fashion, switching up bass and guitar and Chelsey Danielle, percussionist, composer, singer/songwriter, educator on all things keys and percussion, and studio drummer for the last 2 BBG CDs.
