Join Ruth for this 2 & 1/2 hour Wor
kshop Intensive: Standing Up for Activism & Building Community. Drawing from her life experiences documented in her book, “RUTH: When I was thirty-five years old, I became Black“, Ruth animates the posture and perspective behind successful activism through personal integration and building community.
Ruth’s strategies for success were fostered throughout her early childhood when she was made to feel less-than for having brown skin among the caucasians in her family who raised her. Being biracial Black and White gave her a vantage point with a solution on how to heal our racial divides. All throughout life, refining these core insights into beneficial action has remained her heartbeat.
Achieving a favorable outcome in any arena of life begins with the individual. Our beliefs, choices, and actions are fueled by those things that matter to us the most.” In this Workshop Intensive, participants will join in on a collaborative effort to discover the best ways forward as bold, secure, and impassioned women who stand for the causes of dignity and freedom.
In Standing Up for Activism & Building Community, Ruth’s observations will be seasoned by original writings and song. Participate in this alchemic event of discovery, viewpoints, and reflections by attendees and Ruth Anne King for this one-of-a-kind, intimate gathering.
